Tollywood actress and former Member of Parliament Mimi Chakraborty has found herself at the centre of a fresh legal controversy after a complainant levelled serious allegations against her. The individual has accused her of defamation and misrepresentation, raising both financial and reputational claims.
According to the complaint, the person alleges that Mimi Chakraborty had taken ₹2.65 lakh from him and has now been asked to return the entire amount. The complainant has demanded an immediate refund, stating that the money was taken under circumstances he now claims were misleading. In addition to the refund, the complainant has accused the actor-politician of publicly humiliating him. Citing damage to his reputation, he has sought compensation of ₹20 lakh as damages for defamation, alleging that certain statements made by Mimi were false and fabricated.
The complainant has also demanded a public apology from Mimi Chakraborty, insisting that she admit her alleged mistake openly. The matter has added to the actor’s legal challenges, with further developments expected as the issue progresses.
